Honestly I have to say I will always cherish these memories we are making. Jante' and I committed to creating "experiences" for Cameron as much as we can. This one will go down in the books!

Camp Out
We have been planning this "camp out" for a while. It was originally scheduled for Easter weekend but because of all the rain we had to postpone. Today was the day. Great weather (finally) and so it was time! Of course I had it all planned out. Food, games and fun. Cameron through a monkey wrench in the plans by wanting to watch "a movie" on the computer. I told him that this was a "No Electronics Zone". After me explaining that "electronics" means computers and really anything with a plug he blinked those big brown eyes at me and of course I gave in!!!!!

Happy Easter
What a wonderful Easter Resurrection Sunday. After a weekend of HARD CORE rains and down pouring of cats and dogs the sun was up and bright this Sunday morning. It is truly a day to celebration the resurrection of our Heavenly Father.
Even though we missed the Easter Egg Hunt because of the rain we made sure that Cameron understood the true meaning of Easter. Easter bunnies are fine but he needed to know the true meaning. It's so wonderful to hear him tell us (this was the first year I think he truly "get's it") what this holiday is all about. They have done such a great job at the JCCC helping the parents with things like this.
Keeping with tradition, it was church and then dinner at Nana's. The food was great (except for the fact that she didn't make the banana pudding like she promised)! Even without the good sweets we had a great time.

Birthday Bash #5!!!!!
Well the time is finally here......Birthday Bash #5. I honestly have to say this was my favorite BDay Bash yet!!!!! Tons of upfront planning and a few last minute details but all in all the least prep work from me but the greatest impact!
Oh course it was TMNT themed and I found a TON of great ideas online (did I mention I love ETSY and Kara's Party Ideas). Since Cameron loves to cook we decided on the Young Chef's Academy for the location and wouldn't you know it.......Pizza (the TMNT's LOVE pizza) and cupcakes! Simple yet very impactful! The kids LOVED it and the parents loved seeing the kids participate the way they did.
Here are a few pictures from the day. And of course we are already talking about BDay Bash #6! REALLY??????!!!!!

He's In!!!!!!!
All I can say is "THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!" Many of you know that Jante' and I have been on a journey doing research for where Cameron will go to school. Also many of you know the situation we (everyone in Atlanta) is dealing with when it comes to schools. I'm sure like any city there are challenges with education but Atlanta is something special (referencing the teachers cheating scandal of 2012). Honestly the public school system has not recovered from that.
Because of that we have been diligent in our research for the right place. I'm a firm believer that ALL kids are different so you have to find the right place that matches their learning style. Jante' and I are both products of public schools and if we lived in an area that had decent schools it would have been a no brainer. But unfortunately we are not in that situation. So private is had to be.
We searched LOW and HIGH, LONG and HARD and narrowed it down to 2 schools. We then took that research to the next level and visited (several times at each school), had Cameron visit both schools, and spent 1:1 time with the Deans of Admission. Next came the testing....and by the way did I tell you that Cameron scored in the top 7% of all kids in the state of GA!!!! Lastly were the interviews. Our baby passed with FLYING colors. After all of this we decided that Woodward Academy would be our school of choice....then we had to get in!!!!
Well we got our answer today..........He is IN!!!! Can you say OVERJOYED!!!! It is a blessing on so many levels. This is the beginning of what we pray will be a wonderful educational experience for Cameron. One of the top rated (and the actual largest) independent schools in the country here we come!!!!! Now we have to prepare to house hunt to get closer to the school. Parents one piece of advice.....make your life triangle (the distance between work, school and home) as small as possible! Here's to many after school programs, games and activities! Praise God!
