Elf on the Shelf - Week 1

Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas tradition for so many families across the country.  In the Glenn household we purchased our "elf" last year but decided not to start the tradition because we didn't really think Cameron was ready.  This year it was clear that he was ready to start this tradition.  We knew Cameron would have tons of questions (honestly he is the most inquisitive child we know)!  And we were right.  After reading the book about the "elf" Cameron decided his elf would be named "Zachery".....yes, spelled with an "e"!

As you might know Elf on the Shelf leaves every night to fly back to the North Pole to report to Santa on the activities and behavior (good or bad) of the child he has been watching.  But the fun part is when he returns before the child awakes in the morning he does some type of "mischievous" act.  Over the 30 days between Thanksgiving and Christmas the elf does some pretty interesting things.  The child that the elf is watching can not touch him because if they do the elf will lose his power to fly.

We are one week in and each morning Cameron can't wait to look for Zachery to see what he has "gotten into".  Check out Zachery's activities for the week.
