Quick Learner

Less than 2 days after Christmas this little one is on his way to mastering riding his scooter!  Now I must say mommy was quite nervous because he claims he can't "see" while he is riding when I ask him to wear his helmet.  He also told me that "you are not suppose to wear your helmet in the house mommy".  Really Cameron?!!  He was even trying to do tricks.....I will video him when we return for AL to show what else he has learned!

Merry Christmas 2012

What a year this has been!  In normal Glenn family tradition we started Christmas Eve by having dinner out with the family (no cooking around here).  After dinner we went to Jante's mom's house to enjoy time together and have the kids open ONE gift.  Well one gift turned into two, and then three an on and on!!! One of which was my favorite.....a wallet from McKenzie with gift cards to a few of Cameron's favorite places....McDonald's, Foot Locker and of course WalMart!!! They were having so much fun we could not interrupt them.  Jante' and I were actually very proud of Cameron because he was such a good boy while watching McKenzie open all of his gifts (McKenzie spent Christmas day with his dad so he had to open all of his gifts from this side of the family on Christmas Eve).  We reassured Cameron that he would be more than happy on Christmas day with all of his gifts.

After returning home we dressed in our new pajamas (Cameron wanted Batman this year and not Christmas themed pajamas) and read the story of Christmas.  In addition to our Bible reading we added a new book called "The First Christmas".  Now that Cameron is older it's wonderful to watch him as he learns all about who Jesus is and how he was born.  It's very important that he understand early the TRUE reason for the season.  Then it was time for a great night's rest!

We were surprised that Cameron was not at the crack of dawn ready to open his gifts.  In fact we had to wake him up!  But it was on after that!!!!!  We watched with joy as he opened each and every gift.....slowly!

From shoes to books to a tablet, a new drum set, a scooter and so much more...this little boy was more spoiled than ever!!!

We are so blessed to be able to provide special gifts to Cameron just as the Wise Men did to baby Jesus.

We pray your Christmas was as special as ours! Merry Christmas!!!!

Hmm, I wonder who all the presents are for???

A Christmas Caroling

Once again the JCCC teachers have done a fabulous job!!!  This year the teachers of Cameron's Preschool 2 class joined forces with the 2 Pre-K classes to perform Christmas Carols for the parents and staff of Chick-fil-A.

For 2 weeks Cameron came home each night and practiced his 3 songs.  And today was the day where he could show off his singing skills.  Jante' and I watched proudly as Cameron and his friends sang 3 songs for the audience.  Jingle Bells, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Roudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.  The question is, was Cameron ready? Can you find him?  I couldn't get my video to upload but at least you can see him trying to be a big boy in front of this large audience.  We were proud parents once again!  How sweet, his first Christmas show!

Message from Santa

In preparation for Santa Claus coming Cameron received a message from Santa.....(for those parents who have not used this website it is the BEST!  http://www.portablenorthpole.com/home).

All day I told Cameron that Santa had a surprise message for him.  Can you say best behavior all day!!!  After bath time he was ready......Because we have been working on behavior modification with Cameron we had the message say that he was on Santa's good list but he still needed to work hard at listening to his parents!  For the past 5 days he has been getting better and better at listening because we do NOT want a message from Santa saying he is on the naughty list!!!  I LOVE Santa!!!

Frosty the Snowman

I can't believe it but Christmas is less than 30 days away!!!  We are in full swing of getting the house ready and getting starting on our Christmas shopping.  This year Cameron has asked for an iPad!!!  Okay so let me go on record and say he will NOT be getting an iPad.  It's amazing to me how many kids in his class are asking for iPad.....like they really know what an iPad is!!

As we continue to work on his Christmas wish list we decided it was Christmas Holiday classic movie time!  So we sat down for the season viewing of Frosty the Snowman.  I mean really, how can you get into the Christmas spirit without Frosty?  It always brings a smile to my face to watch Frosty and now being about to enjoy that time with Cameron make me even happier.

Next week its Rudolph!!!

An afternoon game of Flag Football

It's been interesting weather these past few weeks....cold, then warm, then hot, then cold again.  So when we had a day of great weather we decided to take advantage of it and head to the park.  This time we chose a different park than we normally go to and afterwards we decided we WOULD be returning again.

This park was full of boys, many around Cameron's age (well he was actually the youngest but he played with them as if he was 5 and 6 like they were).  Jante' served as the coach and they boys played and ran and tackled just like they were playing for a real football team.

We have our new Sunday evening park routine.....at least as long as we have great weather!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!

The month of November at the Glenn household is not unlike many other households.  We spend quite a bit of time reflecting on what we are thankful for. We have been blessed beyond measure!!! Words can not even describe how the Lord has provided for us day in and day out.  Great relationships, great family, great friends and great health.  What more could one ask for?!

We pray the same for you and your family!!

Feast of Thanks

It is that time of year again to reflect on our lives and give thanks.  I love the fact that each year as Cameron gets older he understands more and more about these special holidays and what they mean.

This year during the Feast of Thanks at the JCCC the kids were asked what they are thankful for......Cameron's answer (see the last picture) says it all.  I LOVE it!

Welcome Family and Friends
