Beginning of 1st Grade

I know, I know.  Forgive me please.  As you can imagine it's been a lot going on!  From the first day of school to the first vacation of the new school year.  I have been missing in action from updating the blog but I'm back on it now.

To get us caught up please see the pictures below.  I have to say Cameron is off to a great start with 1st grade!  His teachers Mrs. Gordon and Mrs. Lucas are great (much like Mrs. Kathy and Mrs. Faith) in the fact that homework is every night but at least we get one night off on Wednesday for Family Game Night.

In addition to school we have started travel Baseball!  Practice 2 nights per week and games on Saturday's and Thursday's!  WOW!  These kids start early.  But we are loving it.

Lastly, we also just came off our first vacation of the school year.  New Orleans, LA!  We had a great time.  The weather was GORGEOUS!!!!!  It was priceless to see Cameron's face while walking on Bourbon Street.  His senses were in overdrive.  He said there was "too much going on".  He told us he didn't have to go down Bourbon Street again but all of the other activities he loved!

Getting Ready!!!!!

It's Friday....that means we only have 2 more days before school starts!!!!  (well, registration for school).  Monday is registration and then the first day is Wednesday.  TEARS are starting to form!!!!!!!!

Cameron says he is ready....we will see when we have to wake up 1 hour earlier starting next week.

One of my favorite memories of school was getting to go pick out my school supplies.  Unfortunatly Cameron does not get to do this because the school purchases everything.  So you KNOW I could not pass of the opportunity to still go shopping for him.  This year I actually went shopping for he and Jordan.  They LOVED their goody boxes. Sad to say they were more excited about the candy than they were about the subtraction books! LOL!  However, not a surprise! LOL!

Catch Up

Okay once again, I'm behind.  It's been a lot going on.  So sorry for the delay.

The Glenn Family has been doing great!  Winding down the last few weeks of summer.  Can you believe Cameron will be going to the 1st grade in 1 week?!?!?!?!?!?!!? I am in tears already!!!

Of course we are getting ready and so pictures of Registration as well as the first day will be posted shortly after the 12th.  But until then here are a few pics of what's been going on.

From silly faces at home to the End of Summer Celebration at the JCCC to being my date at the Team Echols Foundation Charity Event.....we've been having a blast.  And we top it off with a video that we took of our "deer" friends in the back yard.  LOVE them!

Happening Now

Cameron and his (new) BFF Jordan playing soccer!  These boys are too funny!

Jr. Robotics

In an effort to continue to expose Cameron to different topics (other than football of course!) this week Cameron did a Jr. Robotics Camp.  Considering his mommy and daddy are engineers it only makes sense to have him spend time understanding the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (or sometimes Manufacturing)).

Club Scientific was a great way to do that!  He loved it!  The reality is they got to play with Lego's all week (what kid wouldn't love that?)  The interesting thing is they connected the Lego to the computer to tell it what to do.  They built a motorcycle, a car, a dirt bike, a bird and a "flipper".

I had technical difficulties with my phone but here is a video of one of the projects (the flipper).  Super cute!  Watch closely or you will miss it! LOL!

First Visit from the Tooth Fairy

After 2 weeks of a loose tooth Cameron lost his first one tonight (well actually daddy pulled it but it's gone).

The tooth fairy visited and she left him $3 (that's the going rate nowadays).  Can you say happy camper?????

Happy 4th!!!!

After a DOWN POUR of rain for 2 days the weather cleared up for a great 4th holiday!  A stay cation at Lake Lanier and a quick visit to another family reunion (this time on Jante's side of the family). Cameron was spending time with his FAVORITE cousin/brother.....McKenzie!

Happy 4th from the Glenn's!
